Today's Zooly art challenge is the koala. Koalas are really cute but I've read that they are really, really dumb. They have tiny little brains. And the males screech. So I drew a dumb male koala screeching loudly in a coffee shop. This is pencil, darkened in photoshop.I watched a video of a koala screeching, so I made my picture louder

So, Koalas come from Koala Lumpur?
I have to suppose that he must be drinking Eucalyptus Tea. Back in my High School and University days, my sister and I dubbed thousands of hours of TV and movies into Tsa-la-ghi, the Cherokee language. We were supposed to try our best to match the voice of the original actor. My natural voice in actually a light tenor and I was only 10 when we were first hired for voice work, but I found that I could throw my voice down into my chest register for deeper voices like Carl Sagan and Leonard Nimoy if I kept a Eucalyptus drop in my mouth. So now I wonder if Eucalyptus has some influence on Koala screeching.

This is so funny! I imagine him sitting and calmly stirring his tea before clearing his throat and leaning back to screeching!

He's probably complaining about the food - they apparently don't recognize eucalyptus leaves already separated from a branch as edible.
