Back to King Furic's fortress, and some explanation:

Furic's troops are almost all single males. Ayonah, (the main god) knows which individuals will eventually pair up, so King Furic suspects he is planning to work this angle to bring Furic's people back into the fold.

Furic realized that "love snares" as he calls them, are a huge threat to his side's independence, so he has ordered everyone to beware of the lady guards. Don't talk. Don't make eye contact. Just run!

This is why king Serence uses the elite unmarried lady squad as his most powerful guards. Furic's troops are terrified of them.

Gad this story is really complicated.

Also, I will be taking a break from doing these pages from Thanksgiving till Christmas, because...sheesh, too much stuff to do.
