This was created as a new logo for a website of a band that I started that only existed from 2000-2001, obviously named Darkstone Lightstone. I called it "Synthesis" since is a HEAVILY edited and re-composited version of our old demo album cover art, with elements from the front and back made into a more interesting combined image. The lettering was done in monochrome by pencil then scanned and edited through several revisions, and the background, head, and lense effects were made in trueSpace 3, but there is probably not a single pixel that hasn't been retouched by hand or heavily filtered.
