I wish I could say I was a Skyrim veteran.. I sooo want to play that game more but hardly have time. Also My savegame keeps crashing every time I try to leave the area I fell into(some scary ice cave).
Annoyingly I am too weak to fight my way through to the other exit too

Have you tried gulping some potions/using scrolls and running as hell to the exit? Or is it an exit that requires killing the opponents first?
I started last november and I'm still not through it, but I'm getting closer to the finish

I had a similar situation in Oblivion. Got stuck in a too tough neighborhood and tried to kill my way out... then it suddenly occurred to me that perhaps just running away would be better... so I adopted the battle tactics of Rincewind the Wizzard for a moment
