I agree, and the pixelated censorship is distracting. The moody light is great, though. The global illumination could stand to be less intense with more reliance on the key light and maybe a fill on the opposite side.

Lights and colors are great on both. Nice contrast between her skin and background. She positively radiates. Composition was better on the first one. Even the ominous naked guy in the background.

I use Poser. The characters are pre-made(purchased from DAZ3d). I textured the girl and there is some "fake" SSS applied. Also the lighting is Global Illumination which enhances the SSS style effect.
The cells/background were modelled by me in Silo too.
