I never thought about doing that with my work. With that tutorial, it would be a lot easier for me to work on my planned Ed, Edd 'n' EddyΒ fanart.

Honestly, the style of that show is a bit looser than the tight lines I do, so you're going to be doing a lot of tweaking if you try like this. Β You'd probably be best off doing it by hand.

Practice makes perfect with anything, so when you have the time, go ahead and give it a shot.

I've never done this in Flash, but have always loved doing vector art in Illustrator. That's what our clean up artists used on the show, too. Hoping to learn very soon how it's done with the new software I've just started using, too. I miss working that way.

I have yet to use Illustrator, either. People tell me it's nice, and I'm all, "Sounds great, I ought to learn how to do it, blah-blah-blah," and then forget about it until someone else brings it up. Yeah, I'm definitely not a professional. I just do what I gotta do with what I have, and it gets the job done (for me, anyway.) Again, I really really SHOULD try to pick it up and learn it...the question being if I ever WILL.
Also, Flash itself has a pen tool, so I'm probably just being lazy for using this method in the first place. Bad Aaron. *self-hand-swat*

*shrug* Whatever gets the job done. I won't be voluntarily using Adobe products anymore, and will be happy to have alternatives to them, so it's not a big deal to me what people use for their vector art. It's high time Adobe stops thinking they're cornering the market, so they can use that as an excuse to drive their prices for CS so high that it's impossible for normal people to have access to their products.
