What? You never needed to have your ammo supply delivered by an all-terrain forklift?Cases of 40mm grenades, linked on belts, for my Mk19. Gods know what it costed the tax payers to fund my amusement.

Dude, that just one afternoon's ammo dropoff. I burned through a lot of ammo, and our European friends donated a good bit too.

40mm is considered a destructive device. You can buy it, but each round would require a $200 tax. That's right, each bloody round. Plus the grenade launcher would need another $200 tax.
Look up 37mm "signal flare" launchers. Legal, unless you use it as a weapon, and tax free.
