Personally speaking, I find the hook for this comic (Since it is, after all, issue one) to not be as strong as it could. I'd suggest possibly taking out the cliche "Hey, Welcome to this comic strip!" sort of feel to it, since it seems to have been overdone. What prompts the Square to want to commit suicide anyways? I know it said it was depressed from lack of drawing ability, but the sheep seems to trigger the contemplations. If something (Not even specifically a sheep) told me they were going to stick their hand down my throat and what not, I would simply assume they had escaped from a crack house or a loony bin, and would proceed to simply back away slowly.
I know, I'm looking WAY too deeply into a comic and taking things very literally. For that, I apologize and give you permission to totally disregard everything I say. While the hook isn't strong for me in general, there is a draw to it, simply to see what you do with all the other comics in your gallery. Onward.
