Description
She pulls away for a moment to breathe, her heart pounding in her ears. His mouth attacks her throat sending a shockwave of tingles through her body. She moves her mouth nearer to his ear allowing for his movements. Her breathe comes heavy and hot on his ear, her voice breaking through to make small stilted noises. He stops a moment to take a breath and turn her face back to him. In that moment her head clears, just enough, to ask, “Do you love me?”
Her eyes gazing into his, direct and unyielding. He hesitates. A breath; two breaths; more. It doesn’t take long for her to pull away fully and stand on shaking legs, still looking into his eyes, challenging him to answer. They are no longer touching.
He pulls his eyes from her, and they dart around before coming back. “I…I,” he sputters, “don’t know.” He frowns and looks to the floor, disappointed in himself for having nothing better to say. Upset, too, that he could expect her heart to still be his, and yet unready to release his own.
“You don’t know?” Her voice is quiet, barely audible. She looks confused, hurt, lonely. She takes a step back and begins to turn, her eyes on the door.
He jumps up and places his right hand on her left arm, “wait!”
She pulls her arm away from his hand and looks at him again. The confusion and hurt multiplied. “I can’t stay, Shawn. I can’t be here, near you; I can’t be with you if you do not love me.”
Anger flares up inside of him. The accusation tasting bitter in his mouth, he swallows it and manages to stay calm. Now he hurts. Now he feels the rejection she experienced a moment ago on his bed. She asks for his heart and he cannot give it. He asks for her body and she cannot give it.
He pulls a stone from his pocket. It shines with perfection. He searched weeks for this stone, its perfection, its clarity, its beauty, all for her. He offers it to her, still in hopes to keep his heart to himself and yet experience all she has to give.
She looks to the gift. It lays open and clean on his palm. Smooth and clear, beckoning her to accept the gift and forget her childhood dreams of love. Begging for her to hide from her own heart, to repeat the same mistake she had been making for years.
Angry she looks at him. “Keep it. Put your heart into it!” She turns again and leaves, slamming the door behind her.

Nice. I like the emotional range, but the grammar needs a bit of work.
