here he is!!!!!!!! aang is all done and comes complete with his glider.
unfortunately it's not a fully functional glider, but it's there.
aang is made from a half price easter cherrilee.his clothing is completely made of sculpey, both ultra light and regular, and paint. his glider is made of an old paint brush's handle, paint and construction paper...and wire.
please be patient, the other 3 of this set will be done shortly. feel free to entertain yourselves with the pic of a baked zuko in my scraps. i swear i don't keep drugs in the house.

i am cosidering a silent auction here on DA to see if i can get them sold as a set. but if it doesn't work tomy best advantage then they are off to be individually sold on ebay

Do you bake the ponies with the clothing on? Poor dears! They don't melt?
He def looks like Aang ^^ Very nice next to the Sokka pony. Will you be selling them as a set or seperately? Will there be a Appa pony? ^^

their clothing is sculpy, a modleing clay that stays soft til baked. in fact on each one i use two different kinds, ultra light and regular.
no plan for an appa pony, i'd have to use my giant pinky pie bait but i don';t have a 3rd set of legs ^_^ besides i wanna make something else outta her.
i plan on auctioning them all individually. i have several ppl on a list to contact when the auctions go up. right now zuko is almost finished so just have katara and toph to do next.

I know it's sculpey, but I assume that you have to bake the ponies along with the clothes? Is that right? Does Sculpey light bake at a low temp? I guess the ponies wouldn't melt. . .
You could always make Appa out of a normal pony, I suppose, hack a pair of legs off of another pony and turn it int oa merpony, if you're feeling adventurous, that's using resources wisely, haha.

yeh. the sculpy bakes at 275 and the ponies survive it rather well. 3g actually do better than 1g. the holes in the head of 3g baked ponies are typically still open, but in a 1g once you bake they are almost all closed. luckily i hair with pushpins close by to open anything up that i need. in fact zuko has 6 hair plugs that were not in his head to begin with.
