the silence of the nightsteals into my fright
and the stars laugh one by one
with shaking hands i reach
and pull myself to my feet
finding strength without being strong
now i scream in pain
with everything i strain
i am losing all i've never had before
denying all the sky
even myself deny
a greater pain cannot ignore
slicing deep and through my veins
i have felt no greater pain
than staring deep into your eyes
i scream and try to cry
i run in fear to die
nothing left to no surprise
i can't even hear your voice
as i realize my mistaken choice
all i want is to hold your hand
while i drift from dream to dream
beyond what everything may seem
i wish to feel you here in this foriegn land
i didn't leave you to feel this way
i hadn't known i'd gone astray
i don't know how to reach your heart
as the tears run down my face
each straining to win the race
win the race into the murderess dark
my knife is neither cleaned nor stained
my intentions neither real nor feigned
as tears and blood mix as one
i feel your hand caress my cheek
i raise my head, and hopes, once weak
finding strength without being strong

16 or 17. i can remember i was in my jr year of highschool. mainly cause i can remeber the class i wrote it in.
