Description Intro:
Just something that's been knocking around the computer for a while that I thought would pass a little time.
The character is Troy G. Dore (yes, read on), originally a joke character I made for a World of Darkness game, with the working titled, "Simple Things", but after a few sessions, and a background crafting, I've come to like to him.

Artwork:
These designs are not accurate to our game, but are instead what I would use if he were a main character in a video game, primarily an action/adventure game, something that allows you to throw around fireballs, flaming columns, beat enemies to death with a giant spell book-weapon (not pictured..how did I overlook that?).
These were done to decide on a design before I moved on to the layout sheet, which is now finished, using a slightly altered version of 4.5. Modeling did begin and I plan to finish in the near future when I've got the new PC.

Character:
Troy is a former lawyer, that suffered a breakdown after many a bad thing happened. From the start: Troy's father died of a heart attack, a week later his fiance cheated on him, and then left him for his best friend, 2 days later his boss was caught embezzling and subsequently took the firm down, backlash from which also tainted Troy's name, and due to lack of work and funds, he lost his apartment. Drunk and distraught Troy went to his (former) bosses house a day later, on his birthday, armed with whiskey, gin, some rags and a lighter, and torched the place to the ground. Neighbours called the cops and Troy was finally arrested shortly after setting a squad car on fire.
It was then revealed his boss had been in the house at the time.
Hazey on the nights details, and citing all the events around what happened, he copped to an insanity plea and was locked in Crofthaven, where supernatural goings on ensued, and later Troy awakened as a full mage, with hints that the pyromania wasn't psychological as such, but actually a part of his nature, and that there never were any molotovs!

The story's still on going, but that's the gist.

(Version 2 is a small throwback to the game itself, and doesn't fit the design ideas at all really. Troy stole a lab coat and pretended to be a doctor..he failed majorly at bandaging mind you, but bless, he tried.)

My god. It's...actually human.

I note mage is listed as his 'belief', so I'm guessing this scenario is such that that is a delusion he has, and [assuming this is some manner of tabletop roleplaying, or whatever the correct term would be] world of darkness plays with the ideas of the player character's perception of reality against what is actually true [or perceived to be true by most, depending on which way it goes. 8V]

Seems like a pretty effective combo of mage garb with a little straightjacked mixed in, to me. If anything, the only thing I would question is that those boots do make his feet look kind of stubby, but then, I've seen boots that do have that effect, so yeah. 8U

I like the stubby boots, I don't get to do stubby boots enough.
Yeah, WOD's a tabletop game, supernatural setting with werewolves, vampires, changelings, mages, hunters, and several other bloody things...
Outside of that, story goes how you please, so the game we had going was pretty much what you surmised, playing with perceptions, varying from character to character based on their own views. So my straight laced lawyer dismisses everything as insanity, while claiming to be sane himself, a claim he didn't hold on to too long.
It's also completely ridiculous given the characters started in an insane asylum, so we all had a disorder (that we chose), in my case it was pyromania, but as this image was for a different take on the game, and to present information about the character for a video game setting, he believes he's a mage, but it has the same result in both games, the compulsion to burn stuff~
Favourite moments though have actually come from Emma's character with split-personality disorder, since one of them, who has popped up at oh-so-inappropriate moments.....is a speed bump!

Needless to say, this has been one of the..less than serious games we have ever played..of anything. Ever.

Pffft, I don't even know where Preston is.

Silly Craig, I don't have these 'friends' you speak of. [Well, all the best ones are a little far away...]

I'm glad this actually showed up, as when hit submit, nothing happened except the box I'd been typing in vanished, and I thought dA had eaten my comment. :/
