... or, why should my visual pleasure be condemned if it doesn't conform to someone else's guidelines?
While perusing a lovely contribution by a DA creator I posted a comment that stirred a reply, which then encouraged a polite rebuttal.  What follows is the contextual exchange sans the ID of the viewer, out of respect, who shared their view.  Should they be willing to allow me, I will amend this post to include their ID in the appropriate places.
Their observation related to the image of an unclothed young girl stretching moments after she awoke:Cute character.... But I worry the crew from "To Catch a Predator" is somewhere in the vicinity XD

My first reply ----------------------------------
If those people are nearby and watching they are hypocrites, because they hide their passions far too well, and they spend way too much time perving on little girls pretending to protect them.  LOL

Shakespeare wrote a perfect quote for these people spoken by Queen Gertrude, Hamlet's mother, from Act III, Scene II of Hamlet ...

"The lady doth protest too much, me thinks."

Definitely Faved

Their polite rebuttal ----------------------------------
...That's a very interesting theory XD Definitely would make sense that it is classic over compensating. Or taking out the "little pedos" while leaving ones like Jeff Eppstein free.

...I love a person who can quote Shakespeare

And now my extended contribution, although not posted on the DA creator's image page, again out of respect ----------------------------------
LOL.  To be honest I was concerned my perspective might have incurred your wrath, and that of more than the viewers and creator.  With enough time I'm sure I'll eventually receive some measure of others' displeasure and contextual condemnation.  To that end I thrust my sword into the fire and enliven the glowing coals to a blazing inferno with what follows.

Given how fervently many of these "predator catchers" strive to "protect little girls" it causes me tremendous concern for them to condemn the appreciation of natural beauty through photographs and artwork.

Isn't it human nature to seek out something that's unattainable, akin to someone desirous of climbing a peak never before trampled by a human foot, or the beauty of a forest glade never before observed by human eyes?  Isn't it a part of our make-up to explore and discover that which is either dangerous, prohibited, or unavailable?  Consider all manner of risky sport and endeavor and then ask the participants why they do it.

Don't misunderstand my perspectives or intent.  Men who cause harm, either to little girls or other adults, should receive just punishment for their wrongful deeds.  To injure or abuse anyone, especially a child, is the most cruel and corrupt act, and the tormentor should reap that which he has sowed beyond the full measure of their original deed many times over.

However ... the appreciation of beauty, no matter the age, lack of garments, or adornments of any kind, shouldn't be suppressed to the point of utter madness.  The more sophisticated we've developed, the more Victorian and hypocritical we've become.

People should ask themselves why murder, war, destruction, death, torture, and gore ... all exemplified in movies, video games, drawings, 3-D renderings, and comics ... are so widely available and accepted when the natural appreciation of the human form under a specific age is vehemently condemned and the observer of that which is considered illegal seen as a monster.

Apologies for the soap-box rant, but those in power, including a significant number of those who are tasked to uphold our Country's laws, have repeatedly been discovered sharing the very appreciations they've sworn to condemn.  Hypocrisy should be condemned as fervently as the so-called crimes many are accused of when discovered appreciating natural beauty.

To satisfy your last comment, and specific to my prior opinions related to these so called protectors ...

From the Bard's work, Hamlet, and to follow, my interpretation:

"This above all: to thine own self be true".  Act I, Scene III
-- Be not false to your own soul, for you may be skilled at outward deception, but not the spirit within.

"And it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man."  Act I, Scene III
-- What has been hidden by deed and word cannot be masked from the Creator when a person is called at their sunset.

"When sorrows come, they come not single spies, but in battalions."  Act IV, Scene V
-- Men will oft times gather in great masses to rend another's flesh from his bones if their own soul has caused them sadness.

I can't agree more with that. People is too
incoherent. They think that the wold is full of pedos and that they will rape children for seeing a slighlt dressed kid! "Normal" people rape women for seeing a slightly dressed woman?

Some people will froth at the keyboard about things they don't like; it's as simple as that. I don't let them get to me.

Soap box rants don't bother me. If you appreciate the form with no intent to act upon the desire for it... Then "harm it none, do what thou wilt". Those who make it a way of life, as Eppstein does and as many higher ups in various governments do However, should be punished for their actions.

The image we were talking about, I enjoyed for the shading of skin and body language of the character. I don't mind nude art of a nonsexual nature of under age figures. I will refrain from seeking it out in all forms but if I come across it and the art and it's quality, I will fave and occasionally comment. Usually a joke as you saw. Meant to be one off and humorous. "My Loli senses are tingling".

I am not tut tutting, I am no puritan. I keep my nude art to of age characters, other people don't have to. I imagine that shota/Loli keeps some people from acting the stuff out in real life. It's not my thing but for those who have restraint (and who don't harbor anger because were not harmed in their youth by such people are allowed to have different opinions and aesthetics.) No harm. No foul.
