I have a dream and a duty to it. I will say the ramblings that have not, yet, been able to surface this rampant stream of thought. I'll tell him the unbelievable "i love you"s and fantastical "i really expect nothing"s, and I want him to really listen... even if he doesn't believe. I expect no professional assistance, no mystical perfection, no real plan or future. I just want to feel his smooth skin warm my frigid fingertips. I want to stay up nights, together fantasizing over good movies and hand rolled cigarettes. I want him to see me as I've seen him, if only for the moment. I want to tangle in an ecstasy sea and watch him disappear into his beautiful hums of bass, the strains of an imaginary chorus, the very essence of why I'm so enchanted.

I have loved in the shadows for far too long with the doubts of never and naught keeping me bound. The light of a brand new day is approaching and I want to be present for the first glorious, golden beams stretched taught over the tides. I want to pluck the diamonds from the very wake and crush them into my hair so I can feel like the golden goddess that I should. But even without the trappings, maybe he'll still see me... maybe. I will be as beautiful and fruitful as I allow myself, and today I am Aphrodite... I will sculpt my own dreams.
