Description Faust woke up in a daze, he saw three faces staring at him in perplexity. It took him a moment to attach names to faces, he had seen so many faces now. He had lived so many lives, they blended together into a mesh and he could not distinguish one from another. Faust felt an unease in his bowels and lurched forward, he sprayed the contents of his stomach all over himself and the floor. “Are you alright boy?” asked Maester Bravan. Faust began to answer but then he thought carefully about what he should reveal and what he should keep to himself. Ptolemy was right that this was important research, but Faust knew better than to hand over the answers to his questions, Ptolemy was the last person he would trust with such valuable information. “I am now,” he said finally. Ptolemy pressed Faust with a series of questions in quick succession. “It’s all still groggy,” he said, “I don’t remember much of anything.” But that wasn’t true, while some parts of his memory were covered in a thick mist, he remembered some of his travels with painstaking clarity. Ptolemy eyed him suspiciously and approached. “I didn’t go to such lengths so that you could tell me you don’t remember anything,” said Mateus Ptolemy with a bite of frustration in his voice. Faust stared him down, showing no weakness despite his predicament. Ptolemy made a gesture to Gabriel, Gabriel nodded in acknowledgment and moved towards Faust with intention to do him harm. The withered old maester stood between the noble knight and Faust. “The young seer is still in a daze, perhaps we should give him some time to recover before interrogating him,” he pleaded with Ptolemy. Ptolemy pondered over this for a moment and then waved Sir Gabriel off. “Very well, we will continue this another time,” he decided, though his patience was being tested. “But then I want your complete cooperation Faustus, do you understand?” “Of course,” Faust answered with a serpentine 🐍 grin.
