~~~(Name) POV~~~

You couldn't decide whether or not it was sad or adorable, the fact that the grumpy brit was also a grumpy sleeper. Like seriously did this guy ever smile unless it was for a cup of tea, his magical ‘Friends’ or if he was drunk?

You were on your way back to England after visiting Alfred in America and were on a plane with only a few people on it- curtsey of Alfred and his government. Arthur was snuggled up into a blanket with headphones on next to you fast asleep, his face was quite adorable all scrunched up in annoyance as if he had just bumped into Francis.

His bushy brows kept twitching every so often and the occasional sleepy slur would pass through his smooth lips as if he was grumbling to himself. You giggled quietly as he mumbled in his sleep and you quickly grabbed your phone turning on the camera.

“This will be perfect for black mail~” you chuckled evilly as you snapped a few shots of him and couldn't help but “a’www” at the last one, his bottom lip had puckered out and made it look like he was pouting. As you gushed over the last photo you didn't notice a small yawn and two drowsy emerald eyes slowly open.

Arthur saw you with a light pink dusted over your features and your attention completely absorbed by the device in your hand that was pointed directly at him with the camera light on. He instantly connected two and two together and his eyes widened in realisation, without a second though his arm shot out and grasped the device snatching it out of your grasp.

“H-Hey! Arthur noooo!” you cried as you jumped on him trying to get it back.

He held you back with one arm as he used the other to skim through the photos of him you had taken with a deep scowl plastered on his face. He let out a low ‘Tch’ and a faint shade of red dusted over his cheeks before he started deleting your pictures.

“NOOOO!” you wailed as you made another desperate attempt to grab the phone catching the attention of some of the passengers on board.

“(Y-Your name) get off you git! I’m not letting you keep these ridiculous pictures of me” he grunted whilst trying to hold you back,

“B-But you look cute!~” you whined not noticing how red Arthurs face had become.

Your arms were beginning to grow tired and Arthur had almost gotten to the last picture which just so happened to be your favourite one.

With one last desperate attempt you made the bold move to grasp both of his cherry red cheeks in your soft hands and pressed your lips against his smooth ones in a quick kiss.
Arthur’s eyes widened and a sound of shock escaped the back of his throat when your lips smashed together but slowly he let his eyes flutter shut and kissed back.

After realising that he was lost in the kiss you quickly reached out and snatched your phone back then pulled away from Arthur- Much to his displeasure- and held the object protectively against your chest.

He looked at you in slight annoyance but also something else you couldn’t quite determine,

“That was a dirty trick (Your Name)” he growled. His statement caused you to pout and avert your gaze away from him.

“Well I’m sorry but you were about to delete my favourite picture!” Arthur just rolled his eyes but then let a smirk curl onto his lips,

“How about we make a deal?” he asked grinning mischievously,

“A deal?” you squinted your eyes cautiously, “depends on the deal”.

“I’ll let you keep that photo” at this you smiled, “But” you frowned again, “Only if you never show anyone AND…” You looked at him curiously,

“And wha-!” you started to ask but was quickly interrupted when two arms snaked around your waist and pulled you close to a slim yet toned chest,

“Don’t pull away this time” he whispered in your ear, his hot breath tickling your cheek.

“W-Wha-Mmmphh” you were muffed by a pair of lips that locked against yours perfectly in a needy yet gentle kiss that caused your whole face to erupt into a dark shade of red. It lasted a few blissful moments before you both had to pull apart and take in a well needed breath.

“That’s how you kiss, love” he smiled cheekily before giving you a peck on the nose.

“Now Arthur, That was a dirty trick” you tried to imitate a serious tone but couldn’t help grin and give him a light peck on the nose back.

Extended ending-

You and Arthur both gazed lovingly at each other before a squeaky voice broke out behind you,

“Ewwwwww! Get a room, kissing is gross!” sneered a little boy sat in front of the couple peering over his chair.

“Now kissing may be gross now but when you get older you learn to like it, you’ll like it a lot” Arthur spoke gently letting his accent become more present.

“What do you know grampa!” the little boy stuck out his tongue as Arthur clenched his jaw and hissed,

“Why you little-” you couldn’t help but giggle which caught the attention of both of them.

“Now, now Arthur leave him alone”

“B-But he-” he was silenced by the light touch of your lips against his as you gave him a light peck,

“Yuck!” the boy cringed before ducking back down behind his seat.

“Little brat”

“Arthur!”
