Sooo here it is - my very first tutorial and i think i did my best at explaining
While doing it i decided to go wild and just ended up drawing rainbow hair ahaha
I really hope you'll like it and it'll help you ^^ and oh damn! tutorials take a lot of time D: ask me anything if you have questions, dont be shy ^^

ok, I feel stupid, but I'm stuck on step 5. How do you duplicate a layer?

is PS push Ctrl+J or right click-duplicate layer, in SAI left click on the layer, then on the top bar Layer -> Copy (:

Click on Layer on the bar up to and there should be a copy button. Make sure you're selected on the layer you want to copy.

thank you! i have seen many different ways to draw hair digitally, but this way seems to be the best judging by the outcome, i like how the hair is sharp and not totally soft and blurry.

Quick question...well, not really a question...more like clarification....I'm assuming you're using a tablet? If so, do you have tips on creating hair as good as this without one?

How do you get your lines to be so smooth? (For lineart) When I try that it comes out squigglier than my sketch!

Stabilizer this in SAI helps a lot, but other than that... idk xD practice!

it's Opacity and Belding is something like Wet in Mixer Brush Tool i guess... but i'm not entirely sure if it's the same, because i don't draw in PS (:

It helps to work in the particular shape you've drawn on a lower layer (: you can read about it here [link]
