Syam was born in Twistoult but was never really part of the community there. He officially left Twistoult when he became an adult. He can not speak at all. However if feels the need to communicate he can make a large variety of whistling sounds, though he rarely does even that.

Syam is of the Balach Clan and works quietly as an assassin. Assassin is a perfect combination with him as he hunts by ambush.

Appearance-wise, he is a panther, so its hard to see his spots in anything condition except direct sunlight. He does in fact have teeth under his "lips" but outside his beak, they perform no direct function and are mostly shown for intimidation or warning. His eyes are light, with a purple tinge, and has hard scales (like birds) on the front of his forelegs for protection. The ventral side of his wings are a gradient of black at the tips and grey (same color as his body) towards the body. There is a light grey-purple section of his wings found in the same position as a real whistling [link] He also has a long thin scar on the right side of his neck.

Syam is not particularly "scholarly" but more street-wise. He does not like being in medium-large groups. He will quietly slink away when things are "overwhelming". He is not completely anti-social, during events he is often in the background and out of the way, its his own way of participating in festivals. Though participating isn't exactly right, he is constantly on the watch for danger and Skrekrill scum. Syam does have a peculiar weakness for young gryphons and is often watching over them at a distance while they play, though he never interacts with them. He has come to respect Queen Titania -though skeptical at first- due to her wise decision making skills and care for her people-gryphons
