That was my FC Rie before evolution. When Mary Sue was not in my brain and goth fashion was plausible. Left 4 Dead FC actually.
I might scrap the design as just an OC.

The way I see it realistic is kind of boring- considering you're surrounded by 'realistic' every day. XD Anime is just so... pretty and there are so many different ways to do it. TwT But that's my personal opinion.

Da Vinci's style was very amusing, and I absolutely love 's style (she's actually my inspiration). Too many people today use anime, and I was in that phase in middle school. I dislike anime, actually, because of my experience of my obsession with it. I prefer to be a realist artist- but still have a cartoon-ish side to it.
With anime, once you go a certain level, you can't go any further. With realism, you learn newer things as you improve, which is what I realized when I started. Anime seems too simple with me.

I just can't like realistic as much as I like anime. Anime can be done in so many different ways and be so detailed and some might not be. Realistic is something you see all around you every day and to me it gets kind of boring. It's essentially the same reason one reads fiction as opposed to non-fiction. XD I don't think anime is very simple, considering how many different ways there are to do it. The better you get at realistic, there's only one way it can go. XD
I can understand why you like realistic. I just can't agree with it, is all.
Once again, your work is good, either way.

LMAO Silly people... Just because you don't draw anime doesn't mean you don't like it. In fact, a lot of the fan-art for animes aren't anime-styled. I have seen SO MANY realistic pictures of anime characters.
