Description
Bank in AthensGreece
As I am revising these days some of my pics collected during the last years, I re-discovered my weakness vis-a-vis the snapshots taken from vehicles, usually tourist buses. Despite the absolute low "hitting rate", as the vast majority of these trials are completely unusable, sometimes the results are worth the time and effort investment. This is an instance of Hegel's theory that quantity can bring quality over time ... This is also the reason that I am (stubbornly) continuing to upload some more pics belonging to this genesis ...

This is great. If you said it was a painting then it would be described as 'photo realism.' As we all know it is a photo, then it can only be described as 'painterly.'
Reminds me of the work of the artist Geoffrey Smart.

thanks so much Alec dear friend for enriching my knowledge buy addressing my attention to this great painter. Actually it was a full hit into "my tatse" as I see that SMART is a combination of Hopper, Hockney and De Chirico. Such a marvelous creator that I feel so near.
