The water is threatening as well; it appears to be a continuation of the rock!

NietzscheΒ (while living in Genoa) once said, "I would not build a house for myself, and I count it as part of my good fortune that I do not own a house. But if I had to, then I should build it as some of the Romans did- right into the sea. I should not mind sharing a few secrets with this beautiful monster."

Interesting Christine. I assume that the lacustrian housing technology was second to the importance he granted the mysterious of the sea and nature in general ...

I believe you are correct. ^^
Wittgenstein might have put primacy upon the construction aspect, but not Nietzsche.

As we know, philosophy is strongly driven by selecting a certain answer/preference/approach to the essential/primary questions ...

Agreed- that is philosophy: finding out what is important to you, and thinking of how to live based on that. I think it's best to reflect a lot on it, but
even those who think they don't have a philosophy really do- just as those who postpone a choice are still choosing. ^^Β

So ... Philosophy is omni-present ...
today Sarina and myself shall meet in Bucharest Sorin and Cecilia and other colleagues to celebrate 50 (fifty!) years since we finished school in Bucharest ... It requires some imagination, I assume, to understand this

Yes, the most natural thing, but it does require imagination.
For me, it hasn't even been 30 years, but I already have many memories that seem somehow to belong to a completely different person, so I must have changed.
It must seem like such a long time ago, but all those experiences shape who we become later...
We carry them inside us, and maybe others can see it indirectly when they look at us? ^^

Greece has incredible scenery ... the image clarity (clouds, mountain, water) gives a slight dramatic tone. Very beautiful.
