Description
Two Seconds LaterTimes Square - NYC - USA
In a trial to improve technically one of my former pics that got a DD - Daily Deviation (the third actually)
an interesting development of things occurred ...
I intended just to improve the pic quality by reducing the noise, as the pic (that got the DD as well) has been shot at high ISO - 6400.
In this scope I looked after the original shot in RAW file, and was using the precise date, time, hour when the shot has been taken ...
By mistake, I selected a pic that has been shot precisely two seconds later (as it came out later-on, when discovering my mistake).
The unbelievable thing is HOW MUCH everything changed (in the same overall scene) within this minimal span of two seconds.
Despite the fact that the time indicated by the digital clock in the Times Square remained unchanged ... 9:13, virtually almost all elements in the pic are different.
I believe this is a very powerfull demonstration of the uniqueness of the moment when taking a pic ...
btw. if you will compare the two pics, I believe you would be in a position to assess my success in getting rid of the noise in a considerable amount.

An interesting comparison and I like them both, but like you say, sometimes a second or two can make all the difference great shots, both of them
This one has just that edge in vibrancy and colour but both equally good
nice work

For sure a big difference. I like the vibrant colors from this image. In a way it's like it accentuates the brightness of the lighting, and the details "appear" too. But the other image has clearly and looks more elegant ...humm ... glad I don't need choose (lol). But if I need to, I would choose the another image.

thx a lot my dearest friend Mayumi. Indeed the issue here is, at least I believe, the continuous change our existence and environment are passing thru ... The difference, as appearing, when making the comparison between these two pics that only two seconds separate seems surprisingly significant ...

For sure, even two seconds can make a difference in anything. You're welcome!

Very gorgeous capture (and colors!!!), Riki! Looks like the people there are enjoying themselves, too; like some fun event was going on.
And yes, comparing the two, I do see the difference. However, I like the one which had more noise still a lot too, it really didn't have 'need' for any noise to be removed.

thx a bunch Linda dear friend. I appreciate your opinion. The issue from my personal perspective was the tremendous change that takes place within a span of two seconds that is, I believe, more impacting that any of the photos themselves ...
