After a night of frustration so great I almost cried (because I couldn't get my were-coyote/shaman off to a good start) I decided to do what I do well... cute foxes! Done with an HB & Dark Wash Pencils in about 15 minutes. Sometimes, if I can't get something challenging to go my way, I can at least do something that feels good.Related content

thanks so very much for your response! I really admire your work, and I wish I hadn't been so into guys when I was 20 or maybe I would have realized back then I had a modicum of talent... but that's okay...just it IS harder to learn new techniques when you are older... yiou get set in your way... know what works... and often get frustrated when new things don't!

He's adorable. I love how you've done the eyes and the muzzle. I have a Bat-Eared Fox character named Ivan though I haven't drawn him in a very long time.
And I know what you mean about trying out challenging things to draw and then running to do something easy and familiar when it gets too hard.
