...ohmygod. now that i look at it, they ARE similar. because i wanted aang in a swishy kind of action but i didn't realize when i drew it it looked like a duplicate of yours... because i fail at life. Is it breaking any laws to sell a print with copyright characters?

technically it is... but since we're the artists, we are the ones that created the orignal image, it's not copied from the an official picture or anything :/ Some companies don't like it (like Disney), some do. I don't know about Nickelodeon but yeah. Japan is more lenient towards this kind of stuff, which is why there are like so many doujinshis and fanarts being sold lol.
