Background
Matilda was born from a long line of witches on her mother's side. It was clear from an early age that she was never going to be as talented as her predecessors but she still tried from the moment her lips could form spells. Her cat obsession lead to her teeth permanently being stuck with fangs, when she'd originally wanted to do a temporary spell for fashion. She also often lit things on fire, caused stink bombs and got herself stuck in goo (all accidentally of course). As she grew older she found she was at least a little better at brewing potions than casting spells, although her skills still weren't the best.
Matilda loved to make friends, but she often scared them off with her loudness and uncontrollable spell-casting. It was her obsession of cats that lead her to interacting with the Feuille twins, Lavender and Pomme when she was 18. At first, she stalked them from a distance. When Lavender caught on, the twins were initially annoyed but grew to accept her.
Matilda has always wanted a pet cat but no one would let her as they feared for both her and the cat's safety. To cheer her up, on her 18th birthday, her mother bought her a giant snail. Annoyed at first, Matilda finally accepted and named him Robert. She fixed up a little wizard hat for him so he could be her 'magic helper.'
Ongoing Story
Matilda spends most days visiting friends - particularly Lavender and Pomme. For the whole 2 years their relationship has existed, Pomme always loved the attention while Lavender has always had the 'Why have you been in my house for 7 hours straight' mentality. When she's not with others, she's at home practicing her magic usually with or on Robert. One day, she's certain, she'll be able to turn him into a cat.
Trivia
- Matilda is rather dumb. It takes many times to explain a concept to her that she can't understand.
- She always dresses like it's Halloween season as she's very proud of being a witch.
- Her favourite sweater is the crop sweater she wears at home. Initially, she didn't understand that a crop sweater was supposed to be worn with something underneath. Once explained to her she concluded it didn't matter as she was comfy and didn't care. However, when guests visit, she doesn't think to change. Lavender cares, that's who.
- She is rarely embarrassed. She has no problem being nude around anyone - even strangers - which is why she thinks nothing of people seeing her in her sweater.
- Matilda is very, very, scared of caterpillars.
- When asked if she has a crush on Lavender or Pomme, she answers, "Both!"
- When she messes up really bad, it's usually up to Eloise to come and sort out the damage with her restoring capabilities. Eloise pretends to be annoyed, but secretly finds the various situations hilarious.
- She's known for always saying what's on her mind, even if it gets her in trouble.
- Although much of her fashion revolves around cats, on her choker hangs a snail shell. She loves Robert, really.
- Robert doesn't love her.
