Hmm...still wondering if I should have posted each page as its own deviation instead of lumping them in two at a time...but ah well. What's done is done, and it was shorter. ^^

I did it! \o/ And I even managed my self-imposed deadline of being in when Round 1 was due. ^^ (Well, okay, I missed it by a few minutes. But it’s still technically TODAY to me as I don’t count it as a day change until I have slept or the sun has risen.) (Yes, the requirement for this definition has come up before.)
And now…I am SO ready to not draw for a week. @.@

Anyhoo, this is the first (and hopefully not the last) part of the SE storyline I have going for . I didn't make it in, but I love the concept AND I have a few friends in both contests, so this was too fun an idea to pass up. ^^ Eight pages of computer paper and 45 panels = biggest comic project I have ever undertaken to date. Aaand since we ALL know how much I love to talk, I’ll now defer to my panel-by-panel notes, for those who are actually interested. ^^ Do not feel obligated to read these, because doggonit, I DID warn you.

Notes and Ramblings
I’m esp. happy with Page 1 there. (Basically the really big panel and everything above it.) I did a lot of tinkering with panel orientation in this project, and this one came out pretty cool. Still not sure if I shouldn’t have gone with my idea to shrink panel 3, but oh well.
Panel 1&2: Split paneeeel! I actually had to rein myself in on the craziness of the forest there; one of those trees almost had big stars painted all over the trunk.
Panel 3: RFWGirl, hangin’ upside down. This is why I love her. ^^
Panel 5: Man, I’m getting halfway decent as these extended landscapes! You’ve no idea how hard it is for me to not go overboard on the craziness of things, but I’m trying to be moderate so that The Real won’t look virtually identical to my own special dimension, the Random Insanity Universe. Some aspects stay the same, though. Like that candy cane tree.
Panel 7: That dragonfly is wearing a top hat. ^^ Originally RFWGirl was balancing my laptop on the tip of her finger, but I tried this and discovered that it is virtually impossible at the angle I had picked. But I liked how her hand turned out, so…dragonfly. Also, behold: the laptop’s one and only appearance in this SE. It’ll be staying nice and safe and unnoticed on the ground for the rest of the panels.
Panel 10: I forgot to mention this in her Ref sheet (mostly ‘cause I just plain forgot about it), but RFWGirl actually absorbs confusion energy. So while she should eat, she technically doesn’t need to for long periods. I mostly threw this panel in there because I liked this little snippet of conversation that resulted, though.
Last Panel: Again, playing with perspective. RFWGirl is good for this because she moved around a lot. And that is a black-leafed baseball bush behind her, in case anyone was wondering. ^^
