This piece is really interesting! I love the limited palette, and how you played with the saturation of the blue watercolor throughout the piece. Your choice to use the blue paint instead of the black ink in spots like the trim of the shirt is also genius and beautiful. I love the red and how it plays throughout so much more of the piece than you initially feel. While it's easy to spot in the bird, one may not immediately spot it on the arm, in the background, or even in the most powerful spot, the dogtag. Finally, I really love the way that you created the face. The profile is absolutely stunning. Keep it up, and thank you for submitting!
