There are certain places where you can download a grass tool, if you look hard enough. Β It took me a while to find the pack I wanted, but once you find the perfect brush/brush pack, it's easy to find tutorials on how to get the brush into your system

You could also try FireAlpaca, which is free. Then, you can download brushes that other people have made (bitmap brushes). There are dozens of kinds of grass brushes that you can get.

This is a really helpful tutorial, but I'm having a load of trouble with getting the brush for fixing the edge of the grass to work. I know I'm doing something wrong and I'm probably missing something important in the tutorial.Β

uhm,i think I can Help you.
You have to made a right-click (I hope you know what I mean) on the layer (on the thumnail) you want to select pixels and then you can 'select pixels'.
