Description Hello people!

A lot of you asked me to do this one (it was right up there with blood, tears, and guts exploding! (just kidding)), so finally, here it is!

I hope you guys find it useful, and please go ahead and try it out!

I'm sorry to those who don't have Photoshop, but I know that most other drawing programs (Paint Tool SAI, Gimp, DA Muro, and such) all have tools similar to those used in this tutorial. All you have to do is find them, and I'm sure you can get the same (or even better) effects!

This might be easy for me on Medibang Paint Pro since it's kind of like Photoshop or PaintTool Sai.

Hmm...well, I've only used FireAlpaca once, so I'm not sure I could help with that.

This looks awesome River! I gotta question though, do you know any tool from DA Muro that is good for the bushes, ground, water, shading, etc.? This is a picture I drew below on the link thingy and I want it to look better. Can you look at it and maybe some of my other drawings to see what I can do to improve them please?

This is awesome River! I gotta question though, do you know any useful tools in DA Muro that will be useful for doing the bushes and the shading, water, dirt, etc.? All I was able to get was this pic below

Wow. Nice effect. Fancy computer tricks are a bit over my head. I just add and blend colors to give an illusion of lighting and three dimensions. It works well so far. Thanks for sharing.

Hi River! I'm trying to learn how to shade but whenever I use the lasso tool in SAI and fill it, the shadows come out so jagged. Is there any way to make it smoother?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RiverSpirit456 In reply to TakomiShadow [2016-08-18 23:58:24 +0000 UTC]

Using the selection tool in SAI isn't the best way to do shadows. I just use the regular brush, but I know others who use the selection brush (forgot its real name), which works pretty well.

Just out of curiosity, how many layers do you usually have in a drawing?

By the way, I love your art!

And sorry for posting on an older picture. I'm currently just skidding through your art.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RiverSpirit456 In reply to DriftingDraws [2016-08-19 00:01:42 +0000 UTC]

Hmm...I guess my average is 40 layers, but I normally collapse them eventually.

And thank you!

Hey River~! I loved the tutorial and super helpful ^^ Wondering if you could update / make new one perhaps? With Paint Tool SAI, and how you select/deselect to shading? It doesn't have to be cat since I know you're exploring beyond, but anyhow on different topic congratulations! Hope you have good journey forward. <3 (Because once I tried drawing Paint Tool SAI but.. it didn't select properly.. I messed up the pixels... ;u;; )

This might be a stupid question, but, in photoshop, which brush do you use for rain?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RiverSpirit456 In reply to Colourstrike [2016-01-15 19:44:17 +0000 UTC]

I created that brush.

But the way that I created it was by stretching out the regular round brush, increasing the scattering and spacing.

Hey River! I just read this amazing tutorial and it's helped a lot. But I have a question, I draw on my iPad, because I can't purchase a drawing tablet yet! And somehow, the drawing program I use I feel lik makes the a pictures a bit blurry D:! Do you think you know anything that can prevent this?
