GHAA. . .looks horrible in normal view - -FULL VIEW THIS S.O.B!This was for one of my classes. James, our teacher for this paticular class lets us have alot of freedom. We had to do some adverts, so i decided to do a MGS one. My orginal idea was a whole lot more elaborate . . .buuuut i guess time got away from me and it had to be scaled down quite a bit.
So heres the final.
im fairly pleased with it, although im sure it has a good number of wonky spots

ONe thing you need to know. The red lettering, no matter how you view it (or me at least) is very difficult to read. Red on black or other dark colors that are near black is just too difficult to read. It's really something you should think about. Other than that, great work on the art.

I disagree. I thought the same thing and even questioned my instructor about it. After i printed the ad out it looked fine and is very visible on the printed page (printed on gloss paper). Im not sure why on screen it's so difficult to see. Anything on black as long as its not another dark color like blue or purple is usualy fine in design. and in the case of the top lettering green and red are complimentry colors.

Great drawing and concept. Snake seems a little out of detail, but the technique is great. I would suggest using a harder brush for smaller details however.

This piece rocks and is one of my favorite game. My only crit is Snake needs to be bigger and more dramatic, maybe darker shadows. The background is amazing.

Yeah! I am too, though I've only played all the MGS games on the PS/PS2 and own them but, yeah I'm a fan. Can't wait till MGS3 comes out, have you played the demo of it?

Yeah, I get both PSM (Unofficial Playstation Magazine) and The Official Playstaion Magazine. The second one is where I got the demo. I was starting to loose my patience, but now the demo really boosted my spirits/patience- now I'm ready to wait.
How do ya feel about the card game coming out on the PSP title "Metal Gear Acid"? I have some feelings but not much else, I don't want it to even come out and I don't think I'll ever get the game let alone the PSP.

I dunknow. . .the PSP looks alright to me. Metal Gear Acid looks real gimmicky, though. like that VR missions game, except less cooler. I'll still probably end up getting cond into buying it. heh, heh, oh well.
