What a great question. I haven't thought about the Zone System (by name) in years. But of course it is central to every image I make. I learned it way back when and have incorporated it and adapted it into my work over the years.

I was always a little anxious about film exposure and the zone system gave me a way to envision images so that the film exposure caught all the essentials. Then in the darkroom the solid film exposure allowed great control and latitude with printing which was always my strength and passion.

I don't shoot much film any more but use all that experience with tone, value, gray scale and contrast in tuning images in photoshop for digital presentation.

Thanks for asking - and for appreciating the images.

Maybe a tiny amount more contrast? Pose is good and the background works great!

Very nice pose... I must say I love your experimenting with Nude-pictures lately. You always seem to capture that 'art' that lies in the human body. I mean; there's a lot of feeling hidden in that body... the problem is to express it right. I live poses... whenever I just draw when I travel to university or something by train, I am most likely to come up with some pose of the human body that expresses some kind of feeling. And you are a master of capturing that piece of art in the human body

Very very nice...

Great shot, i love the location, although it's very clear it's not so busy that it's distracting from the real subject. great pose of the model.
