He is terrible with directions and often ends up the same place he started from occasionally. Secretly Stephan has a soft spot for cute things.

|My Stephan Childhood So Far|

Stephan is the youngest son of five males and four females. He grew up in a very stable household, filled with talented individuals and entrepreneurs. Stephan's father was a brilliant Electrical Engineer who decided to go into early retirement, to open his a Bakery from his home to be more involved with his family and also help with the household chores while his wife continued to work as a tailor a fashionable boutique in Fall City.

As the fourth son of the Adams family, Stephan didn't have much responsibility while growing up than has older brothers or sisters who were intending colleges or help their father with the Bakery, and would constantly get into squabbles and arguments due to his unruly behavior.

When Stephan turned six that following year, he sent to stay with his grandfather Samuel Adams and grandmother Linda Adams in Twinleaf Town, after the birth of his two twin siblings Lloyd and April, when it came apparent his parents were unable to control the excessive outburst or support his financial education at a private school attending. Stephan's father thought it would be better for Stephan stay somewhere with more space for him to move around instead being trapped in a household filled productive teenagers and adults. Where be he could be free to express him, while also get a handle on his emotions while being under constant supervision.

At first, Stephan and John didn't get along at all and became quite awkward for Stephan to feel needed by anyone other them himself. But little grass pokemon constantly bothered the young boy for attention, when came food and admirations. Even so, Stephan's grandparents were there to support him through the process if things ever got out of handed.

A few months later, Stephan's asked his, grandparents take him out private school, and let him attend pokemon trainer school where most of the neighborhood children with pokemon of their own were attending, so he could learn more about how to care for his companion, John. When Stephen's grandmother heard the request, she was quite surprised by her grandson decision and couldn't see anything wrong with him going to trainer school. After some time, Stephan eventually made few companions while going the public school and opening up to more to even people and his pokemon, even making ideal conversation with his grandparents and some their neighbors. Even so, Stephan still felt rather guilty about the thing he did to his sibling's back home wanted to change for the better to help his parent and build a relationship with them.

After spending few years in Sinnoh, Stephan's decides to move back to Fall City at the age of Twelve, to be more involved with his family Bakery, after living independently with his grandparents for more than six years. When Stephan returned home, his parents and siblings were quite surprised to see how much Stephan changed over the years, after being sent off stay with his father's parents because of his behavior problems and the pokemon he'd brought home from Sinnoh. Eventually, Stephan and John grew rather close with everyone and helped out as much as he could.

A few months later, Stephan suddenly receives an unexpected phone call from his Grandmother from Twinleaf Town. Evidently, Stephen's grandfather pulled his back after tripping over a black stone while working outside in his prize trophy garden with Holly their pet Darumaka's and sent to the hospital for an overnight stay.

However, the doctor wasn't sure it was safe for him to take the trip to Kalos if the injured process affected his health. However, Stephen's Grandfather didn't want to a free trip to go to waste so told his wife to send his ticket and Stephen so he could go in his places and his enter the tournament like they've planned.

Unfortunately, Stephen's grandma didn't want to leave her husband in the hospital alone for some apparent reasons or let Stephen who was still minor travel alone to a Kalos region without a proper guardian. So she decides to ask one her acquaintance if they knew anyone who would be willing enter the tournament in her place to compete and look after her grandson in her stay for a free ticket and a passport to the Jubilee

A few days later, she manages to find someone who willing to take her place and look after Stephen. A young man by named Alex Rutledge, who was the son her Hair Stylist Sarah Rutledge who ran a Beauty Salon in Jubilife City who does hair and facials for her.

Ask her owner if she knew anyone would be willing at all looking after her Stephen and taking her place to compete in the Jubilee in her absence.

Sarah told Linda that she had a son named Alex Rutledge that is an excellent battler and along well with anyone, who would more than willing to look after her grandson and compete for her in the tournament and would contact him tell her if he would like to take the offer. Shortly after, she got in touch with the Alex Rutledge, and he agreed to watch over Stephen and their pet Darumaka while both participated in the Jubilee.

Stephen didn't care who would go with him to the Jubilee, as long he could get out the house, and away from his family for awhile, and accepts his grandparents offer. A few days later Stephen receives a medium sized parcel in the from his grandmother, within the package contained envelope that was addressed to Stephan that include a black stone and a Pokeball.

When Stephen opens the letter, suddenly see a plane and passport wrapped with the message. Stephen reads the letter and learns his grandmother already made arrangement for him and Alex to share a room together when Stephen, John, and Holly arrives in the Kalos to meet up with Alex Rutledge to travel the Hotel Bellamy practiced in the Jubilee together, and also be on his best behavior and listen to whatever Alex told him. Even so, Stephen was interested in what the Jubilee had to offer him, what path it would lead him.

John was still an Oddish he would consistently drive his owner insane with it constant need whining, and would often disobey anything Stephan order. But after spending some time in the trainer school with Stephan, he finally realizes John was only acting out be mistreatment his owner gave it. Eventually, Stephan learns from his mistake take care of John correctly with the help his classmate and his grandparent.

When Stephan returned home to Fall City, John eventually evolved into a Gloom. However, it came apparent that John bulb was giving off a foul odor that was hard for him to control and often lead to stay within his Pokeball because it potent pollen enough keep customer away from the bakery.

Few month later, Stephan's Mother surprised Stephan with a Sun Stone she received from one her friend who lived in Summerland. She told Stephan he could evolve John into a Bellossom to help it control pollen and more fragrant smell instead keeping it in it Pokeball all the time. Stephan, however, didn't want to evolve John cause it odor; instead, want John to choose whether not stay a Gloom or become Bellossom by his free will. In the end, John decides to evolve into Bellossom by bond had with Stephan, because of their strong relationship.
