Description
This is the Ford Trimotor, a beautiful plane from the 1930s. This was one of the planes from the interwar era, when passanger airliners were just starting, an metals started to replace wood. This plane was built by the Stout Metal Airplane Co. a company that was bought out 10 odd years before this plane was made by Ford.

You lucky SOAB!
I have seen it come in many a times for the EAA events, but never gotten to ride in the thing. I didn't have the money (trust me, it aint cheap!). It was at KLUK, and the thing took off on a taxiway. They are pretty damn cool.

It only cost me $125 each time, and its $75 for a regular seat... What I'd really like to do is go for a ride in a B-17... now that, is a costly ride... $450!!!

Ya. Id love to get a ride in it, but the money goes to keep my car fueled first. Besides, its still just as cool to see the thing takeoff, land, and fly from the ground, and its ALOT cheaper!
