Aussies are the only ones crazy enough to try this and make it work

Great job, but it was the Australian Light Horse that took Beersheba like that. They had emu plumes in their hats. Gotta love AustraliaΒ

Needs more slouch hats with emu feathers instead of pith helmets and more sword bayonet instead of sword, but good work otherwise.

it was actually the Australian Light Horse that took Beersheba in a charge, not the english cavalry. other than that, not bad

I don't think I mentioned they were English? But yeah, they were definitely Australian. Part of the empire at the time.

Australia has not been part of the Empire since Federation 1901

Whilst federated, Australia was still part of the Commonwealth and indeed the Empire. It wasn't until the Westminster Statute was signed in 1942, then Australia Act later on, that Australia became independent from the Empire.

Aussies used different hats, and they were mounted infantry, so they didn't use swords, but bayonets instead.Β
Other than that looks geat

Excellent detail and atmosphere. The picture itself might be fairly simple, but I imagine how hard would it be for me to draw, even with reference pictures (especially for the horses, I still can't draw them properly).

Thanks It was one of those paintings that took pretty much all day. The horses I spent most of the time on, even with reference it took a while haha!
