Description Another old Traveller image from '89. This one is an Ancients' robot found by the PCs.... which turns into a sabotage 'bot as it scrambles through their ship.
For DGP's "Travellers' Digest" #16... which I think was a featured adventure by Bill Connors.

Ink, tone film, on illustration paper.

You succeeded; reminds me of some of Phil Foglio's Gaulimaufrey stuff and some John Byrne's Fantastic Four run. Definitely not standard Traveller fare.

Yeah, I was trying for something that, at least, felt like non-human robot design. It's on four legs here, but it has six. They're retractable.

I didn't know you used to illustrate for Traveller, but when I first glanced at that image, the first thought that popped into my head was, "Expedition to the Barrier Peaks!" before I got a closer look at it. Ah, old-school gaming art always takes me back. . . .
