Traits, WIP I.Can anyone tell me whether she looks... happy/playful or goofy
.She looks pretty and playful on ref, yet, I fear she's just looking... akward/goofy the way I drew her... somehow O.o ... but maybe it's cause it's not yet finished... I dunno :S
edit: oh god, I just took at look at the thumb of this one... she looks horrid on the thumb
arghl. Poor girl ** already figured out some of the flaws which make her look... funky
... there's some shading errors on right side of face, her eyes are a bit off (size of eye, location of pupils relative to each other), and the mouth has errors concerning teeth and the upperlip/at the left end).Gah, I hate how relatively small errors can have such a huge impact on how a face looks

I think this is a fabulous portrait. If I wanted realism, I would take a photo. This picture captured my eye in a unique way to draw me into looking at it!

Hmm, maybe I should try and explore some surrealistic portraits with graphite pencils. I do think it could be interesting... *ponders about the options*

She might not look like the pretty/playful girl you used as her ref, but I like looking at her.

i think its because of the left eye, its a bit off, and her jaw is out of place.
OR it could be just me and my fear of all things that show teeth

Nah, you are right; I noticed, too, after taking a look and pondering about it.
I'm trying to fix what can be fixed now; her jaw/teeth are too much up front, they should've been a bit more... inward. And yeah, the eyes; gah, I can't ever seem to get eyes right :S
