Description
My take on Doomsday, the being that did the unthinkable and seemingly killed Superman.Since his introduction, Doomsday had been subject to a lot of criticism. Many complained about his lack of characterization and personality. He's been nerfed significantly since his introduction, and his significance diminished. Even in Infinite Crisis, he was described as not being as big of a threat as other villains and his one big feat being that he got lucky and killed Superman. Basically, whenever a writer wants to show off how tough another opponent is, they "kill" Doomsday.
Thing of it is, I think Doomsday gets a bad wrap. Yes, he's basically just an engine of destruction and doesn't have the same forceful personality as a character like Lex Luthor or Braniac. But he's not meant to be a character like that. Doomsday is Michael Myers, Jason Vorhees, Leatherface. He's an engine of destruction, void of any human characteristics or redeeming traits. He's not meant to be sympathized with or understood. He's a force of nature that characters try to survive.
