Description
As with "Bodytype" and "Grip," I had the name "Insectica" in my head for a while, so I thought now would be a good time to work out the design.

I knew she'd be a bug themed heroine with a bug themed helmet and purple armor. I just needed to refine the look. The idea I had was that the armor she wore would be a techno-orgnanic construct that would allow her to adopt the abilities of any insect life, morphing and changing shape where need be. There would be a "base" form for it, seen largely in this design, but if and when she would require it, the armor would shift and change to express those traits to aid her in combat. She'd be able to grow stingers or blades on her arms when expressing the powers of a wasp or mantis, respectively. Her legs would morph into those of a grasshoppers if she needed some extra leaping power. She can adopt wasp, beetle or butterfly wings depending on the situation. She'd be able to grow a scorpion's tale from her back if she needed some extra attack power, and so on. So with that in mind I wanted to depict an armor that looked fairly organic in design, to allow it to warp and change if need be. Her helmet I wanted as a mix of various elements- a wasp's attenae, mantis's eyes and an ant's mandibles.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the design and feel it's a pretty striking look.
