I'm afraid tanks and jets were outclassed decades ago in this universe, Tanks were far too slow and jets were vulnerable to surface to air laser cannons.
Plus you have to remember that this is a band of Rebels with no military funding working with stolen tech, they don't have access to any huge vehicles.

OH-NO!!! thats just stupid because most tanks are slow but the modern armor's highest speed is 80 miles per hour and thats pretty fast. oh, and one more thing... they should at least have some highly more armored air vehicles like Kirov Airships or AC-130's or Apatches, Harriers, and UAV's.
