You cross the railway looking out for a train and hoping you won’t be hit. Suddenly an owl pecks at your face and you run away. When you get home you discover that the Owl had pecked the words “Directors Commentary” into your forehead;

Episode 16 returns to the plot after the “Computer explodey” incident as I like to call it

The Title References, References is that even possible?

You may notice that Roboshi and Sonic have returned to the Area where Sonic Died and Roboshi was taken by the GotM, seen in episode 10

Again I left some of the explanation stuff out of view to leave more space for the fun stuff

You may notice some resizing stress that Sonic is suffering from, well that’s because, at first, I wanted Sonic to be about the same height as Roboshi so he wasn’t blown up as much as Roboshi. (This was later changed and most of the Sonic Cast end up taller than Roboshi)

Panel 3 lists Sonic’s achievements, saving animals from robotic prisons, saving the world and becoming invincible with the power of 7 gems (Read; Emeralds) are easy to recognise. But the princess meeting is a slightly less obvious reference to SONIC 06 (A Game that greatly disappointed me)

Roboshi deliberately doesn’t refer to tails by his name, he is simply known as “The Mutant Fox”, but then again he was never told Tails’ name by GotM

My resident Spriter loved doing the pixel art for the Mutant fox so much she even did a small sprite sheet of it later on.

In Panel 7, Sonics head was resized manually, I tend to avoid that if it’s possible but this one must have slipped past the net

Blurb comes to save the day;

The “Blue and Green” show is a reference to most “Odd Couple” style detective shows, and I’m sure that rating is high enough for a satellite viewing.

I did put actual questions there that are all relevant to the plot at some point, Although I’ve decided that Headdy’s real name is Headdy, his surname has not been revealed yet. And I’d like to keep Roboshi’s old memories bubbling under the rest of the story for a while. You’ll see echoes of that story pop up from time to time.
