Crome is sorta a nomad in a way, lol. So I suppose he is kinda homeless, just I think he has a pride issue and wouldn't want to think of himself homeless. He's also greedy so giving him things for free would make him want more and more from the person, and having a psychopath following the generous person around might be dangerous. :'D

Crome isn't that desperate like Algie is, and Crome's reasons are more important than Algies. If he did get that amount of cash despite it being a very low chance, the urge to blow all the cash on weapons of mass destruction would be more tempting. He rather not be sitting in a waiting room all day with possibly crying children, the smell of sick people and everything terrible that can come in waiting rooms. All the while waiting for the unpleasantness of getting a piece of metal ripped out of his head and his skull cracked open to get a better device installed, when he could be blowing something up. xD
