This is a pinup for the book The Revenant.I've been wanting to do a piece like this for a while, this just seemed like a good opportunity.

Oooh! Cinematic *and* dynamic. I feel like I'm looking at a still from a particularly awesome film, and I want to know more. There's so much going *on*, from the way the building is crumbling almost as we watch, to the falling man and his accessories, to the way the light just fails to reach street level. There's a sort of... hmm... process of ascension going on here, and you just know that no one in particular is going to make it.

Amazing! I love the Eisner feel, following the story through the building and out to the street. What a great story in a single shot.

HA! I'm glad you spotted it. I thought I was being fairly obvious with the Eisner look. I even had the somewhat stubby people.
Thanks a lot bud!

Yep! It's a nice looking book, I was happy to join in. Plus Shannon is my editor on X-Files so I had no choice.

Nice!
The texture on the sunlit part of the building is a bit distracting, though.

Well, I was referencing some old buildings and the had ridiculous texture like this, even more so. I was just trying to color it with texture. Not really my thing.

It's a very nice texture to be sure.
It does frame the falling guy and his gun well.
There's just something not quite right for me. But, you know, take what I say with a grain of salt. I'm no pro. And I'm still a ridiculous fan.

I like that part, it keeps in sync with the clouds, and helps point out the falling gun. Notice how the clouds' shape blend into the texture of the building.
