I'm not conservative myself, in any way, shape, or form, but I can totally respect your viewpoint, especially if you're in support of gay rights. I have friends like that, who identify as Republican, but basically hate all the super-right-wing-religious-condemning tpe of conservatives that the media gives coverage to, who they say make the whole Republican party look crazy. And my best friend's dad can go on a rant about how much he hates Obama and how he's done nothing good for the economy, and then a minute later say that he thinks Prop 8 is stupid and bigoted, and that it's not his business who wants to get married. Anyway, I suppose this is a long-winded way of saying I respect your viewpoint, whether or not I'd agree with everything you'd have to say about politics (though honestly, the most important issue for me is gay rights, because I want to be able to marry someday).

I'm Conservative in the sense where I have priorities. If there's a choice between saving the country for monetary reasons and giving people civil rights, I go with saving the country.
But that's not to say that I don't think civil rights are important as well. I think homosexuals should have rights, and I think women have the right to choose whether they want to abort a baby or not. They're just not top priorities on my list.
