It's taken me forever to do any "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" fanart, considering what a big deal that movie was for me as a kid. For me, it was probably not dissimilar to what it was like for people when Star Wars came out in 1977.This was going to be Jessica in the shower, but I did a search on dA just to see if anyone had done that idea already, and as luck would have it, there was a pic that was basically identical to what I had in mind. So I had her sit down in a tub instead and threw Roger into the scene, and it turned out more interesting than what I'd originaly planned anyway.

Roger is trying the old disappearing box trick. He ask Jessica to volenty, and she does. He does the trick and makes her disappear, just without real clothes. She reappears somewhere else.

Well, maybe one and a half of those ideas. While I certainly like the idea of Jessica skinny dipping, Roger running off with her clothes doesn't much appeal to me. Having given it some more practical consideration, I think I'm much more inclined to draw the magic trick scenario at least. That seems like something I can have a little bit more fun with.
Would you be willing to do this as an art trade this time around? I know I dismissed your offer of an art trade when I did your request with Ryoko and Ayeka, but if I were getting something in return, I think it would be easier for me to justify fulfilling your request at this point in time.

Hmm. Good question. Since you seem to be into superheros and the like, how's about maybe drawing the Blue Bulleteer from AC Comics' Femforce? Kind of an obscure character, I know, but here are some refeences: [link] If that doesn't seem like something you'd want to draw, I can always come up with something else; that was just the first thing off the top of my head.

I agree this is far more interesting I love this!!! i can relate to how the feelings of who frammed roger rabbit shape you as a person. i think 70% of all cartoonists favorite movie is who framed roger rabbit.

The fil;m was released the year I was born but it still has a very special place in my heart, this film. Probably one of the only huge block buster movies to NOT get a sequel, but then it was such an ambitious project I don't think they were willing to do it again, and it wouldn't have been the same with later technology like Space Jam etc that used computer short cuts and colouring which has nothing on cel.

I agree. I'd still love to see more of the charaters, but even if they did do another Roger Rabbit film, it would never have the same impact, given how commonplace the blurring between the real and the fantastic has become in movies.

I know! I was under the impression that it was a huge success. You'd think they would come up with some more stuff! I know they did a couple of short cartoons, and that was about it. Have you seen any of the Jessica stuff by GOODGIRLART ?

I hear there's been a legal troubles between Disney and Spielberg over who owned the character. That could be why there hasn't been anything in ages. Though I hear the new CEo of Disney (Bob Iger) wants to do more with him and they recently made a distribution merge with Dreamworks (Spielberg's part of that company) So you never know what may come in the future
