Its spooky season!

Now I originally tinkered with this design as I was looking for making a gift for a friend and this was the idea I was working on...(shhhh! that's a secret and its for his birthday in December you know who you are!) - but I was asked by another friend if I could work out the design so it would be suitable for papercraft for Halloween purposes.
So here it is I've simplified quite a bit on this compared to the original design I worked with.

I made a note that this could be made from other materials because...
The original I have made for a friend is made from suede and leather. the inner black layer being leather the outer layers being green suede.
The upper green layer on the leather version I made from all separate pieces of leather and then used pieces of black leather cord for all the stitching pattern.
there will be photos posted and linked back to this tutorial once I have the chance - and also I am trying not to spoil the surprise too much for my friend.
