Description
Here is the third and final Showa Kamen Rider introduced in the 90s and in the Showa Era in general; Kamen Rider J, who appeared in the title movie in 1994. His real name is Kouji Segawa. He started out as a wildlife photographer before he was killed while attempting to protect his young friend, Kana and was thrown over the cliff by a minion of the villain of the movie, the Fog Mother. He was revived by Earth Spirits as a J-Powered Warrior with a two striped grasshopper motif. His coolest ability is to grow huge to fight large enemies. So the J is short for jumbo. Kamen Rider J would show up in later Kamen Rider productions in later years. The actor who originally played him, Yūta Mochizuki is the same actor who played Geki the TyrannoRanger from Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger. No new Kamen Riders would be introduced for a couple of years after J. However, all of that would change in 2000 when the Heisei Era began with a bang, with a new hero and a new legend . . .Kamen Rider is property of Toei Company Ltd.
