Description This is Herod, and no, I didn't name him. Actually he was created for me by a close friend as a hero and I later felt he worked better as an Arch-Villain.

The Vindicators first challenge are an alien race (the Rend) that experiment on primitive humanity to breed a better source of sustenance for themselves. Herod was a failed attempt to create a Rend/Human hybrid. Herod proved to be to powerful and uncontrollable and was transmogrified to an elemental form and discarded. The Vindicators, after their first epic battle, split into rival groups . The rival group(Modus) retrieved and revived Herod in order to counter Vectors power...much to their regret.

Herod has all of Vector's basic powers at about 120% and can use all of his powers simitaniously, while Vector must manage his powers one or two abilities at a time. This character starts off really evil, but has a "Vegeta" like revelation down the road.

Yes, the ever massive Herod! I Always like the simply mega powerful villains whom your only option is meeting them with equal force!

Plus the Vegeta reference always scores points in my book.

Yeah, Herod is my answer to a Vegeta like character.
Ruthless and evil, but the character evolves with time and becomes more of a rival than just a bad guy.

Thanks for the , Troy! Yeah, Herod's a pretty bitter fella. But if I were bred into captivity, to exist only to satisfy my masters bidding, I'd be pretty bitter too....HEY!

Yeah, he's big! how tall is he?

RODCOM1000 In reply to hulkdaddyg [2007-12-02 00:31:44 +0000 UTC]

Well, I usually draw the Rend at least 2 heads taller than the average human hero character. Herod is a hybrid of the two, so I draw him at 1 head taller. So I guess that make the Rend 8-9ft tall and Herod around 7-8ft tall.

I love the big stylized H on his suit.

RODCOM1000 In reply to NuclearConvoy [2007-12-01 11:40:33 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! My buddy's original design didn't have the H though. A version of this costume was part of a pitch for a Hulk costume I made to Marvel years ago. The idea was that as Banner you couldn't see the H, the suit would appear all blk. But as he changed into the Hulk and the suit stretched out the H would appear....it was summarily ignored. So I figure, waste not, want not.

Damn, that's actually a cool costume idea for Hulk. But only on a smart Hulk, cause a rampaging hulk really just needs ripped shorts

I guess so. I just figured a genius would figure out a way to keep his @$$ covered even when he turns in to a savage beast. I mean I gain 10 pounds and I'm busting out of my pants, Banner gains over 1300 lbs. of mass and his pants stay put. Oh well, That's comics.
