If my characters were in real modern day:

Dorian would be a hipster who annoys Cal, Cal would be a scary foster kid who rides a motorcycle and gives no flips about what people think, Remmy would be a talented athlete who seems really impressive on the field but is really just a big awkward dork, and Reggie would seem like a really shallow high society girl but in reality is also just a goofy doofus who wears nice/pretty clothes then does dirty tomboys stuff in them.

No one understands why any of them are friends, but they are as close as family.

Reggie deemed them: The White Knights, because she's a big Middle Ages geek and she thinks they're going to change the world (much to Cal's amusement) and she wants them to have a cool name to signify it.
