Description
Hybrid tutorial with 3ds Max 6 and Photoshop (developed with Photoshop 7). Hope it comes in handy to anyone wondering how to create a comet... Also useful as introduction to the Fire Environmentla Effect in 3ds Max and basic enhanciong with blending modes in Photoshop. Not much to say...Total Time: ~5hrs.
Tools: 3ds Max v.6 and Photoshop 7
Requirements: 3ds Max (I think 5+) and Photoshop (I think 6+)
As I always try to remind people with my tuts, the whole thing about tuts is not to learn in a linear way from what the author writes, but to innovate from there to find more techniques that adapt better to your very own style. Following tutorials is valid, as long as you go further.
Btw, this mightn look a bit crappier than my other tuts, but I decided to compress it so it loads faster.

if this is a re-entering comet shouldn't the front be on fire aswell ?
if it's a drifting one, shouldn't it just have a tail of "debris" ?
just my 2 cents, good tutorial otherwise
