Description
***Warning, this is my old stuff, that was a lot more juvenile, violent and had more profanity then I usually have these days.
***
Okay, since I can't stand watching my own old stuff, yet in a series like IMP, the first couple episodes are kinda vital, I'd been thinking of "george Lucas'ing" the first episode for a while.
Originally as an entire new movie vaguely based on the original, but instead I started screwing around in the original file.
So nothing is changed, only the drawings are redrawn..
Well, and the sound fixed a little..
And added subtitles...
Increased frame rate..
Changed some scenes.. added stuff..
And the most important change, this time, Greedo shoots first. Some might be offensed by that, but it's always been my vision to have Greedo shoot first, really.
Thanks to voices from 3 or 4 years back again, Hhog, Henrik, Hentaiboy, Zody and the real Bustin, and later added voices from Molly and Euan and myself. Yay.
If you want to see if I actually vaguely improved over the years, here's the original:
[link]
Random trivia!
1: Altough it's the first episode, it's actually the 5th I made. For some reason I found it necesairy to make a "pilot" episode.. Can't remember why tough, but now I'm glad I did, since the real episode 1 is just about Roger. Yay, I was a selfish prick those days.
2: Before I made this episode for the first time, I asked all IMP members to write their backstory. All of them were to complicated and serious, so I didn't use any of them, altough Hhog does a short version of his story here, and John's orgin story is shown in the intro of the later episodes.
3: From all new IMP cameo's in this episode, there's only one that causes a parodox; Brany. Tough she could have travelled back in time with Kaze's Tardis I suppose.
4: The redrawn Highschool here is closely modeled after the real life school I attended. Because of that, it's the only interior location I ever drew in any movie, that has white walls, since usually I hate having white walls. I HATE IT!!!
5: One of the 6 only IMP episodes the real Bustin voice acted for.
6: Wow, can you actually believe I used to make an entire new episode everyweek back in the day?
Now I make about 2 a year..
This remastered episode took me one week again tough. Ohhhh.

Didn't George Lucas remaster the original Star Wars trilogy three times? Sort of like a Re-Re-Remastering? And Greedo always shoots first in all of them, unless someone has managed to obtain the original copies of Star Wars... in which that case Han shoots first. Shocking, I know. Why would one of the good guys shoot first? That is morally outrageous! Even though it wasn't so when Harrison Ford brought a gun to a sword fight in Indiana Jones...
What else had Lucas added to Star Wars beyond Greedo shooting first... ah, dewbacks! He added those dewback creatures into the background of one of the desert scenes. And Imperial Walkers too. I don't know which remaster he added those things into, but I know that they weren't there before. There was also a new digital Jabba in each recreation. First he was just human in a big fur coat, then he was changed into a giant slug. What the hell is up with that? And let's not forget the mother of all changes; replacing the old Anakin ghost with the new Anakin. I loved the old Anakin, mainly because his eyebrows were so bushy.
But enough about Star Wars. We could go all day talking about Star Wars. Trust me. I've done it once or twice.
I saw the original IMP pilot years ago on Newgrounds, don't remember much, except for the part where I saw it. Now I've seen the remaster. I've got to say I find it appalling that Greedo shot first. Damnit, Han is a scoundrel! He's the one who shot first. Not Greedo. But that's not really important anyways... since Greedo didn't have that much screentime. In fact, now I think it's great that he shot first, so we'll have something to remember and complain about.
I like how you updated the graphics. That's always a good thing, one of which George Lucas never does. I also enjoyed the fact that the audio isn't as terrible as before. Atrocious it was, but good it is now. The bit with Brainy though was, like you said, a paradox (I know that's not exactly what you said, but it's a paraphrase).
Overall I liked what you did. I'm going to +Fav this.

Sucks Spielberg and Lucas are so extremely morally misguided now yeah, dumb Hollywood laws.
Tough must admit I didn't grow up on Star Wars, so it doesn't bother me there that much.
Tough it des in the new Indiana Jones, where our hero is not allowed to care for money or treasures, even tough it's his damn job. So how he pretty much needs an entire army pointing a machine gun at him to get off his arse, and even then twice he walks into a room filled with treasure, only to don't care and keep on walking. What happened to old "It belongs in a museum!" Jones?
And everyone just vaguely interested in treasure is randomly killed of by the aliens for no reason. Heaven forbid you're interested in getting some sort of reward for your hard work in a trasure hunting movie.

I know, I thought Indy would immediately jump back into action instead of having to have the Russians push him to it. And I agree on the part where he doesn't even bother to pocket a little bit of the treasure. Of course, Spielberg and Lucas would say that the only true treasure that Indy got was that of marriage. Pfft. At least the kid didn't get to wear the hat. That really made my day.
And not everybody that was interested in the treasure got killed; Spalko wasn't interested in the treasures, but rather, the aliens' knowledge. And she got killed... or disintegrated. Either way, she's dead.
By the way, did Indy get any treasure in the first movie? I know he didn't keep the Ark of the Covenant, since that was sent to the warehouse.

Heroes in treasure hunt movies never get to keep the treasure, and villains are always killed by the treasure. Cliches I really hate in these movies.
The most hilarious example was in Tarzan and the lost city.
The villain finds the chair that will make him immortal, he turns it on..and he explodes.
Err, that's very..Exciting and ironic and..ehh, no, it's just dumb.
At least there was a reason why the nazies got killed by the Ark in Raiders and the grail in Crusade, and Temple of Doom is the only Indiana Jones movie that has anything resembling a climactic battle, so I'm willing to forgive that the stones kill of Mola Rames for whatever random reason.
But the aliens where really lame yeah.
Alien: You saved me. As a reward, you can ask for whatever you want.
Russian: We'd like some knowledge please.
Alien: okay (kills everyone)
Ehmm.. That's not ironic, or exciting, or anything.. It's just stupid. Like they really wanted to cling on the "Treasure kills every villain" law without bothering to build up to it. Geez, just have Jones kill the villains in an exciting fist fight while the temple's collapsing or anything, that'd be more fun then "Zap, everyone's dead, the end"
Out of the 6 treasures in the original trilogy (there's always a main treasure and a sub pre-plot treasure) Jones only keeps 2 at the end.
The idol is taken away, but he keeps the Ark in Raiders (altough the goverment stashes it away, I still count it as "he has it")
In Temple of the Doom, he never retrieves the diamon from Loa Che, and he loses/gives the mystical stones away, so he has nothing.
In last Crusade, he manages to keep the Cross of Coronado (Altough given to a museum, so yet again in Goverment hands) but loses the grail.
And then in Crystal skull, there's no real sub treasure, unless you count the alien who's stashed in the warehouse, or the random coins Jones completely ignores in the graveyard, as for the main treasure, the skull is now.. IN SPACE!
Dunno about Adventures of young Indiana Jones, that show bored me. They should have called it "History lessons hosted by a boring teenager, who might have became Indiana Jones in a diffrent dimension"

I'm always ashamed of scripts since I have a psychological hatred for them, but having fast paced action, sharp jokes, carefull with cursing and sex probably helps.

Well, if you're interested there are a few people on DA who will do voice acting for people for a commission. I was thinking of doing it myself actually, i'm just worried about wether i'd be good enough to do it though XD

Thing about IMP is that it's a series, so I try to keep the same actors most as possible.
Otherwise I could have asked around for shiny new voices yeah.
